7-day Rajasthan tour by Force Urbania covering Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer and Udaipur

Rajasthan is best explored slowly, with palaces, forts, desert dunes and lakes linked by long, scenic highways. The most comfortable way to cover them is a private Force Urbania. Your whole group travels together on your own schedule, with no train timings and no juggling of multiple cabs. This 7-day itinerary connects four of the state's most loved cities: Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer and Udaipur, covering roughly 1,700 km by road.

This guide covers the trip day by day, with distances and drive times for every leg, the vehicle options for group travel, and the practical details worth confirming before you book.

Day-Wise Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Jaipur, the Pink City

Your Urbania meets you at the Jaipur airport or railway station. After check-in, visit Amber Fort, then the City Palace and Jantar Mantar. Stop at Hawa Mahal for photos, and spend the evening shopping for textiles, jewellery and handicrafts at Bapu Bazaar.

Day 2: Jaipur to Jodhpur (approx. 340 km, 5.5–6 hours)

Leave after breakfast for the Blue City. You can break the drive at Ajmer or Pushkar if you like. Reach Jodhpur by late afternoon and spend the evening at the Clock Tower and Sardar Market, where spices, sweets and street food are worth trying.

Day 3: Jodhpur to Jaisalmer (approx. 285 km, about 5 hours)

Start with Mehrangarh Fort, one of India's most impressive, and then Jaswant Thada. After lunch, drive west into the Thar Desert. You'll reach Jaisalmer by evening, with the fort glowing golden as the light fades.

Day 4: Explore Jaisalmer and the Sam Sand Dunes

Spend the morning at Jaisalmer Fort, a living fort with homes, shops and temples inside its walls. Visit Patwon Ki Haveli and Gadisar Lake. In the late afternoon, drive to the Sam Sand Dunes for a sunset camel ride and an evening of folk music under the stars.

Day 5: Jaisalmer to Udaipur (approx. 660 km, 11–12 hours)

This is the longest drive of the trip, so leave at dawn. The route runs back through Jodhpur and, if timing allows, past the Ranakpur Jain Temple, famous for its carved marble pillars. With the reclining seats and AC, the journey is easy for a group. If you'd rather not do it in one day, we can plan an overnight stop in Jodhpur, so just tell us when booking.

Day 6: Udaipur, the City of Lakes

Visit the City Palace complex on the banks of Lake Pichola, then Jagdish Temple and Saheliyon Ki Bari. In the evening, take a boat ride on Lake Pichola or stroll along Fateh Sagar. Udaipur's mix of palaces and water gives the trip a calm finish.

Day 7: Departure

Depending on your plans, your Urbania can take you to Udaipur airport or drive you back to Jaipur (approx. 400 km, 6.5–7 hours) for onward travel. Add an extra day in Udaipur if you'd like Kumbhalgarh Fort or a slower pace.
